These 3 ingredients eaten daily will fasten up your metabolism for rapid weight loss. I have combined them into one of my favorite recipes for my evening meal. Hot, spicy and full of flavor!
You don't need much of these three fabulous magic ingredients, half a teaspoon each day is enough to do the trick. They are turmeric, ginger and cinnamon.
Combined with a high protein diet you will start to see rapid results even if you can't exercise.
As a vegan I have added tofu to this recipe below but that is optional. Chickpeas alone have a high protein content and are very yummy! You of course can add chicken or some other meat to this delicious recipe.
CURRIED CHICKPEAS
· 1 Can of Chickpeas, rinsed and drained
· 2 packets of tofu - Optional
· 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
· 2 x sliced Onions
· 2 x Cans of Crushed Tomatoes
· 2 Tablespoons of Curry Powder
· 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
· 1/2 Teaspoon of Cumin
· 1/2 Teaspoon of Ginger
· 1/2 Teaspoon of Turmeric
· 1 Teaspoon of Crushed Garlic
· 1/8th Cup of Water
Method
1. Preheat oven to 200c.
2. Mix cinnamon, cumin, ginger, turmeric, and 1 tablespoon of the curry in a bowl. Toss chickpeas in seasoning.
3. Place chickpeas on a non-stick baking sheet. Cook for 15 minutes.
4. While chickpeas are cooking, fry cubed tofu in a little olive oil. Set aside.
5. Then heat garlic and onion in a non-stick pan for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add canned tomatoes, water, and 1 tablespoon of curry powder. Cover and continue to cook.
7. Add cooked tofu, and roasted chickpeas to the curry and tomato mix. Let it simmer for 5 more minutes.
